I ask for thrills and this is what I get-
A glass filled to the brim with emptiness
I share my soul and you share your comedic relief
This was going somewhere fast until you forgot to put your seatbelt on
The rules are consistently morphing
There’s no way anyone can keep up in these dark winds
You gave me a smile in exchange for my virtue
All I can do now is choke on every clock in the room
But you fail to reappear, falling short of every gold star I added to your worth
The diamond streets we used to follow now lack the allure
Nothing I say can bring you to my front door
